Every road has a story.
Some are carefully planned. Others take unexpected turns. Along the way, we experience successes, setbacks, lessons, and moments that quietly shape who we become.
Welcome to The Creative Road, the storytelling corner of Highway 50 Insurance Resource.
This is where I'll share personal reflections, community stories, life lessons, and the experiences that have shaped both my career and personal life. Some stories may be about business, creativity, or the wonderful people I've met along the way.
One thing you'll discover as you read The Creative Road is that I don't have all the answers. Like everyone else, some decisions worked out exactly as I hoped and others became valuable lessons that helped me grow, both personally and professionally.
Those experiences have taught me that growth doesn't come from comfort zones or being perfect. It comes from being willing to listen, learn, adapt, make corrections, and keep moving forward.
If sharing my stories and experiences helps someone else feel a little more informed, encouraged, or confident on their own road, then they've served their purpose.
Thank you for joining me on The Creative Road.
“It Started with a Walk” By the end of each long workday, my mind was full and tired. And as so many others may do, I found myself looking for something that would quiet my mind. Two friends and I began meeting every Monday and Friday morning before work to walk the El Dorado Trail. We walked 6½ miles, talking about anything and everything. Those early mornings became a welcome pause before the workday began. One morning, our conversation turned to how we were spending our free...[Read More]
Stepping Back to Move Forward Clarity, Health, and Better Decisions There comes a point when being busy no longer feels productive, it simply becomes exhausting. For years, I convinced myself I was managing just fine. Long days between family, work, and everything else placed on my plate became my normal. Looking back, I'm not sure how I kept up with the pace I was sunk into for so many years. I just did what so many of us do, I kept plugging along. When you're constantly...[Read More]
The Fire Within Us It seems every time we turn on the news, I see another community facing a catastrophe. Wildfires in the West. Flooding in the East. Hurricanes, tornadoes, and storms that forever change someone's life in a matter of minutes. It's easy to feel overwhelmed. As an insurance professional, I've witnessed many of these events through my work. As a daughter, homeowner, and member of my community, I've experienced them from a much more personal perspective. Looking......[Read More]
Hi I'm Francine,
I've worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years, helping business owners and families navigate the challenges of protecting what matters most. Along the way, I've learned that insurance is about far more than policies and premiums, it's about people, their stories, their goals, and the unexpected that life can bring. These experiences have not only help shaped my career, but also helped develop me professionally and personally and how I view business, community, and the importance of "being" present.
This blog is a place where I share insights and reflections gathered throughout my journey. Some posts will focus on insurance and risk management, while others may explore small business ownership, creativity, community connections, family or lessons learned along the way. As the creator of Highway 50 Insurance Resource and TuneStone Jewelry, I've found that whether we're building a business, creating something,or planning for the future, we're all navigating our own path.
Practical insights, personal stories, and lessons learned from a life spent helping people, building businesses, community involvement and discovering my passion and inspiration along the way.
